Double, Double, Toil & Trouble

Oh fall, how I love thee... and Halloween being my favourite celebration of the year I am enjoying the changing of the season.

This October with the Federal Election looming I wanted to talk a little about the environment.

800 million people (eleven percent of the world’s population) are currently vulnerable to climate change impacts such as droughts, floods, heat waves, extreme weather events and sea-level rise. And it is only getting hotter... double, double toil and trouble; fire burn and caldron bubble.

I don't want to tell you how to vote but I would like to suggest that you have a look at the platforms of the different political parties and ask yourself what is the most important issue on our agenda. My answer is the ENVIRONMENT. We need to wake up and shake it up folks.

I am making a plea to the women of Canada to have a serious look at the Green Party and leader Elizabeth May... she is my hero! https://www.greenparty.ca/en/platform

Women were given the right to vote in 1917 in Manitoba -

although that didn't include Asian women (1948) or Aboriginal women (1960) so let's use our vote as our voice and elect a party that believes in putting our environment crisis first. Please have a look. Thank you.

Because Lady of the Lake was built by women for women I figure this is a good platform for me to babble on a bit about this. Let's change history again ladies... join me in helping to save the planet. Forever indebted to you, B
