Just Fartin' Around

Hey there, yup that pretty much sums up my winter and what a great way to live. Mexico is like a dream and I miss my beach walk with a sparkling morning swim. Till next year! Adios.

How are you? What is new? Have you had time to do some fartin' around? It is important, remember, you can't pour from an empty cup. Take care of yourself FIRST! Back to work and starting to get caught up. I wanted again to thank you for your support of the Lady, she is a lovely being and fills an important need in this community… so thanks!

The Shop is FULL of gifts and great clothing, purses and scarfs. Also, in case you haven't seen our upstairs home decor area, it is a stunningly beautiful place to wander and enjoy the artful displays. We have some lovely 'shabby chic' vintage furniture ready to cutesie up your home and you will find my favourite hippy style clothes upstairs as well. Mom, it's your day to shine! Coming up is Mother's Day and Lady of the Lake Cafe is again hosting our annual lunch, Sunday, May 13th we are open from 11:00am to 4:00pm with our popular lunch menu and some brunch features including Eggs Benedict served three different ways and a tasty Nicoise salad. For dessert, Key Lime Pie. Reservations are accepted for this event by calling the Shop at 204-725- 4181.

FRIDAY NIGHTS... $15 Steak and 'Shrooms Dinner with double baked potatoes and salad! Also now serving Manitoba Pickerel Dinner... yum. Plus Fridays from 4:00 to 6:00 we have FREE NACHOS for Happy Hour (with purchase of two drinks). You may hear our jam group playing some old tunes...join in if you want, bring a pot to bang or that hidden shower voice.

What else? The kids are growing, the grass is growing, violin is coming along at a snail’s pace and I am anxious to get my motor-home on the road. Wes and I attend several small music festivals over the summer where we commune in nature and jam with our friends. Looking forward to it again this season. If you want to check them out there is the Prairie Wind Festival, beginning of June in Cypress River; Brandon Folk Festival in July; Harvest Sun in Kelwood in August; and Harvest Moon in Clearwater in September to name a few. Just Google them if you are interested or want to volunteer! And, we will see you there!

That is all folks... going home to see how Wes made out with the Curried Veggies and Rice for dinner. Love and farts to you! xo B
