Gratitude is Magic...

Hello Dear Friend,

Did I tell you lately how grateful I am for you? Let me tell you why. You are a unique individual with gifts only you possess. You are kind and quirky and have an amazing sense of adventure deep down. You like a challenge and see everything in a positive light. You are a star! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

And why am I grateful for my business, Lady of the Lake? She serves an important purpose in the community by providing a special place for people to gather. It provides nourishment for our bodies and beauty for our ourselves and our homes. She is consistent and nurturing, always there to provide a friendly hello. It provides musicians with an appreciative place to share their music. Plus, many people are provided with meaningful work and a pay check. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have I flipped a cog? No, looking through Tessa’s bookshelf I borrowed the book, The Magic, by Rhonda Byrne, and was reminded about gratitude and how it can literally not only change our outlook but also our energy and our life. I know it is hard to be grateful when we are in the depths of something challenging but here is a quote from the book that really helped me.

“Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn’t learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die, so let us all be thankful.” Gautama Buddha (founder of Buddhism)

I like the way he reminds us that there is always something to be thankful for though some days we may need to dig a little deeper.

I would love to hear what you are thankful for, just comment below.

Yours truly, xo B
